The Garage Door Wizard is a Windows application that allows you to create garage doors from parts.  You drag and drop parts to create the garage door, preview it, and then create the symbol.  You then import the symbol into Chief Architect (requires Chief Architect 9.5+, 10+, X1, X2 Full Version with Symbol Import abilities.  See below on how to check)

New in Version 2:  Save the doors in any format of AutoCAD DWG or DXF from Version 10 to 2004.

The Garage Door wizard comes with 121 parts that allow you to create thousands of combinations of door styles.

There are many version of Chief Architect available.  In order to use this you need a version that has the Create Symbol option.  Below is a screenshot from Chief 9.54 to show where it is located in the menu.

The parts that are included are:

Panels   Configurations: 0 Panel 1 Panel 2 Panel 3 Panel 4 Panel 5 Panel (shown) 6 Panel 7 Panel 8 Panel 9 Panel 10 Panel (shown) 11 Panel 12 Panel   1 to 6 Panels are standard in single door sizes. 1 to 12 Panels are standard in double door sizes.
Arch Grill Patterns   3 Configurations are available (all shown in single door size)   These come in single and double door sizes.   The 2 bottom designs are available in 3,4,5,6 and 8 wide configurations.
Arch, No Grill   3 Configurations are available (all shown in single door size)   These come in single and double door sizes. The 2 bottom designs are available in 3,4,5,6 and 8 wide configurations.
Square Grill Patterns   9 Configurations are available (all shown in single door size)   These come in single and double door sizes. The last 4 designs are available in 3,4,5,6 and 8 wide configurations.
Square, No Grill   12 Configurations are available   1 Light 2 Light 3 Light 4 Light (shown) 5 Light 6 Light 7 Light 8 Light (shown) 9 Light 10 Light 11 Light 12 Light   1 to 6 Lights are standard in single door sizes. 1 to 12 Lights are standard in double door sizes.
Sunburst Grill Patterns   10 Configurations are available   Patterns 1-7 are available in single door sizes. Patterns 1-10 are available in double door sizes.
Louvered Panels   These were requested by a Florida designer where they require louvered panels because of hurricane code requirements.   Configurations: 1 Panel 2 Panel 3 Panel 4 Panel (shown) 5 Panel 6 Panel 7 Panel 8 Panel 9 Panel 10 Panel 11 Panel 12 Panel   1 to 6 Panels are standard in single door sizes. 7 to 12 Panels are standard in double door sizes.
